Good matches that lasted too long?

By Scott Keith on 30 November 2018

Was there ever a good match in which you thought the time being long actually worked against it being great? I remember on a Raw in 2003, HHH and Shawn Michaels fought for the World Title. The match was decent, but there were too many slow spots throughout the contest for it to be considered great, imo.

Yes, the last Wargames went WAY too long. Cut it down to 30 minutes even and it's a classic. HHH matches in general have that problem, in that he wants to show he can do the epic big fight with everyone, but really he can't. The HITC match with Shawn in 2004 is the best example, or the Seth Rollins match a couple of WMs ago is another.
