–Opening Contest: Fatu (2-1) pins Mike Bell after a top rope splash at 2:42:
Every time that Bell thinks he has gotten one over on Fatu in this squash, by giving him a DDT, a clothesline against the buckles, or taking Fatu to the buckles, Fatu refuses to sell it and Bell screams in frustration. It adds an entertaining element to this squash, as the colorful Fatu continues to make a difference by remaining undefeated since his gimmick change.
–Hunter-Hearst Helmsley (12-0) beats Scott Taylor after a Pedigree at 3:02:
The Helmsley-Bob Holly match for SummerSlam is being put over as a fight between a Greenwich blue blood and a “grease monkey” in Holly, who is not fit to clean or fix Helmsley’s cars. Helmsley slowly beats on Taylor in this squash, getting a small reaction after giving Taylor a tilt-a-whirl slam en route to hitting the Pedigree and keeping his record unblemished.
–A replay of the ten minute challenge between Skip and Barry Horowitz on Superstars is shown.
–Barry Didinski is with some WWF video producers that are playing pogs. Didinski urges people to buy an uncut sheet of mat caps for $19 (plus $3.95 shipping & handling), along with a slammer, a playing mat, and a copy of WWF Magazine. Call 1-800-TITAN-91. The uncut sheet Didinski is selling here can be found on eBay, but it is pricey, with people selling them for more than $170.
–Jean-Pierre LaFitte (14-0-1) pins Jerry Faith after Le Cannonball at 3:39:
Faith was a Memphis talent, getting a few gigs as a jobber on WWF television in 1995. In fact, Faith worked with fellow jobber Troy Haste, who was doing some work in this same period for the company, in Memphis as a tag team called the Phantoms, with Faith sporting the gimmick of “Phantom Tragedy.” LaFitte goes back to some high-flying offense in this squash, blasting Faith with a slingshot leg drop from the apron and then the Cannonball, as Ross struggles to refer to LaFitte as “Jean-Pierre” and not by his Quebecer name of “Pierre.”

–Ross and Pettengill discuss the SummerSlamcard, with Bret Hart saying that he will make the “tooth fairy” pay at SummerSlam.
–Footage of Diesel beating Sir Mo on RAW is played.
–Dean Douglas defines the word “cool” and then reviews Diesel’s performance against Sir Mo. He gives him the grade of “Big D” for “Defeatable” if he should ever have the privilege of facing Douglas in the ring.

–The Allied Powers (16-1) beat Bob Cook & A.C. Connor when the British Bulldog pins Connor after a running powerslam at 3:22:
For all the discussion about Sid being angry about not being on the SummerSlam card, the British Bulldog and Lex Luger were probably not very happy about being left off the card either since it was logical that they would receive a rematch against Owen Hart and Yokozuna for the tag team titles after the controversial finish at In Your House 2. Connor does a great job bumping for the Bulldog and selling with his facial expressions, but it is weird not to see him bust out a head shake after getting the better of the Bulldog on a striking sequence. A Connor blind charge, which Connor also sells like death, leads to a running powerslam and the Allied Powers go over once again. This would be the last appearance of the Allied Powers as a tag team for reasons that are explained below.

–Jerry Lawler warns Shawn Michaels that he is going to break him in half on RAW.
The Last Word: The highlight of the show was A.C. Connor’s selling during the Allied Powers squash, which shows how far this show has fallen. Nevertheless, the squashes were entertaining and put over talents that would factor into many important matches as 1995 wound down.

After the bout, the Bulldog took the house mic and told fans not to chant “USA” because it offended him…Savio Vega pinned Rad Radford (substituting for IRS) after a spinning heel kick…Diesel & Shawn Michaels beat Men on a Mission when Diesel pinned Sir Mo after a big boot. After the match, Men on a Mission attacked the babyfaces and Razor Ramon tried a save but was also beaten down by the heels. *The WWF announced its lineup for the next Madison Square Garden show on October 6: Bret Hart (w/George Steele) vs. Isaac Yankem (w/Jerry Lawler), WWF Women’s Champion Alundra Blayze vs. Bertha Faye, the Undertaker vs. King Mabel, and a WWF title match (without saying who the participants would be).
*The British Bulldog is in the midst of a heel turn, as noted in the results of the recent Madison Square Garden show where he walked out on his tag team partner Lex Luger. The turn will be on television shortly and will help give some of the babyfaces a new heel challenger. The Bulldog has never been a heel in the WWF.
*The reason that Adam Bomb was beaten so quickly by Henry Godwinn at Madison Square Garden was because Godwinn sprained his ankle playing softball. This finish angered Bomb to the point that he gave the company his notice, arguing that he was not happy about his push. The WWF hopes that it can keep Bomb under contract and is urging him to reconsider.
*Although the company wants to bring back Jeff Jarrett as soon as possible, with talks ongoing between both parties, there is little interest in immediately bringing back the Roadie, who reportedly failed a drug test at In Your House 2. This is why Roadie is currently free to work in the USWA or anywhere he pleases while Jarrett is not, as the company says he still has seven months left on his deal and cannot work anywhere they do not approve of.
*Sting is reportedly trying to get Lex Luger a job in WCW. If Luger were to go to WCW they would want him in a heel role to put over Hulk Hogan. And Luger would not be the only WWF star to head to WCW as Mike Rotunda has left the promotion to head back to Atlanta. As a result, Tony Garea got his agent job back.
*It has been confirmed that Lord Alfred Hayes has been forced into mandatory retirement by the company as part of its sweeping budget cuts.
*Meltzer believes that the Goldust character might be a “career killer” for Dustin Rhodes since it is going to have him play a transvestite gimmick.
